CONTISS in Context — 2026
Non-academic staff at Nigerian universities often feel undervalued compared to their CONUASS colleagues, and the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) have both engaged in industrial actions over CONTISS implementation. The scale has been a recurring point of dispute in the broader Nigerian university labour relations landscape.
